Tick Bedside Nursing care limited, a leading home care service provider in Uganda is set to premier a movie titled “The Care Giver“.
The movie sheds light on the critical need for home-based nursing services and also educating audiences on effective caregiving practices.
The film explores the importance of family support, home safety, medical attention,mobility assistance, personal hygiene, meal preparation, social interaction among other support for the elderly.
“The strain of busy modern lifestyles and the ever-declining public healthcare system is leading to a rise in the demand for Home Care Nursing”. Says Margaret Busingye Bashaija, Executive Director of Tick Bedside Nursing Care.
She notes that in Uganda, many elderly people face neglect or inadequate care from grandchildren due to a lack of awareness or the misconception that professional care is a luxury.
“The Care Giver” aims to dispel these myths by showcasing the benefits and surprising affordability of professional home care options. She adds

The Red-carpet event boasts the presence of distinguished guests: Hon Chris Baryomunsi, Minister of ICT and National Guidance, Kampala City Lord Mayor Salongo Erias Lukwago among others.
Tickets are available for purchase at 20,000 shillings (Ordinary) and 50,000 shillings (VIP).
