President Museveni has made changes in his cabinet where he has dropped a number of ministers and at the same time brought in new members.
This has been revealed in the new Cabinet list which has been released on Thursday evening.
“I hereby inform the country that By virtue of the authority given to the President of Uganda by Articles: 108(2), 108A(1), 113(1), and 114(1) of the 1995 Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, that here below I publish a slightly amended list of the cabinet of Uganda”
Among the newly appointed ones is Balaam Barugahare, a prominent businessman has been appointed the state Minister for Gender in charge of Children Affairs, Gen Wilson Mbasu Mbadi , the Commander of Defense Forces (CDF) has been appointed the State Minister for Trade
The Vice President has remained Rtd Gen Jessica Alupo , Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja as well as the first Deputy Prime Minister Rebecca kadaga and the second being Gen Moses Ali and third Deputy Prime Minister Hon Rukia Nakadama.
Hon Lilian Aber has another new entrant have been appointed as the State Minister in OPM in charge of Relief disaster preparedness
Hon Wamala Nambozo has been appointed the Minister in charge of Karamoja Affairs replacing Hon Maria Gorretti Kituutu
Hon Oboth Jacob is the new Minister for Defence and Veterans affairs replacing Hon Vincent Bamulangaki Sempijja who has been appointed a senior Presidential Advisor on schedule which will be revealed at a later stage.
The Majority of the Ministers have bounced back in their former positions.
