KAMPALA-The Top Management of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) has transferred 39 of its officers from January to date.
Thirteen of these staff are at the rank of Assistant Directors of Public Prosecutions (ADPPs) who will head Regional Offices as Regional Officers (ROs) at Regional Offices which were created to supervise Resident State Attorneys (RSAs) and Prosecutors (RSPs).
According to the official communication from the DPP’s office released on Tuesday, this move is aimed at improving coordination and communication between the head office and field stations.
“The transfers have been effected for staff versatility, to provide staff with new Opportunities and, in public interest. It is envisaged that the transfers will lead to more efficient and effective service delivery.” Reads part of the circular
The latest transfers of the Assistant DPPs take effect on 2nd April 2024.
Some of the officers affected by these changes are: Akello Florence-ADPP from Masindi has been transferred to Mukono as Regional Officer, Okello Richard-ADPP , Arua has been sent to Masindi as the Regional Officer, Bagada Alex-ADPP for Soroti has been moved to Arua as the Regional Officer.
Betty Agola-ADPP for Mpigi has been moved to Lira as the Regional Officer, Bikhole Rachel-ADPP at the Headquarters has been transferred to Mpigi as the Regional Officer, Kalinaki Brian-ADPP has been moved from Lira to Masaka as the Regional Officer.
Amumpaire Jennifer-ADPP from Masaka has been moved to Kampala as the Regional Officer, Namakoye Catherine-ADPP ,Kampala has been ssnt to Gulu as the Regional Officer.
On top of the above officers, these change have affected 13 other officers.
