BWAISE – Over 100 religious leaders (Pastors) from various Ministries across the country gathered at Christian Life Church Kampala recently for joint prayers aimed at calling upon Christians to revive their faith.
The lead Pastor, Jackson Ssenyonga decried the increasing evils among Ugandan communities which have led to loss of property and lives.
“Let us repent so that God can forgive our country and continue blessing our country which is already blessed with a conducive environment, fertile soils plenty of food among others. Once we don’t repent, we may find our country in calamities and disasters experienced in other countries.”
Bishop Thomas Mugisha, the overseer of Makindye Ssabagabo Church together with other pastors commended President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for the braveness he exhibited when he signed the Anti-Homosexual Bill into law.
“He stood his ground even when International Organizations including the World Bank were threatening to suspend all kinds of support they render to Uganda.”
He added that such a patriotic mover from a leader like President Museveni cannot be taken for granted.
These National Prayers which attracted Religious leaders from Lango, Kigezi, Ankole, Rwenzori, and other areas ran under the theme ” Roles of religious leaders in uniting the Community.”
