Makerere University hosted the Second Edition of the Sarah Ntiro Annual Public Lecture, which was graced by Her Royal Highness, Nnabagareka Sylvia Nagginda, Queen of Buganda as the distinguished keynote speaker. Based on the theme Catalyzing Change: Women as Pillars of Society, the lecture was convened in honour of Sarah Nyendwoha Ntiro, whose legacy paved the way for thousands of young women to fulfill their dreams of pursuing higher education in Africa and the the world at large.
The lecture featured a panel discussion moderated by Prof. Sarah Ssali, Dean, the School of Women and Gender Studies and featured panelists; Ms. Elsie Attafuah, UNDP Resident Representative for Uganda, Mrs. Anna Reismann, Country Representative Konrad Adenauer Stiftung and Ms. Martha Kiiza Kalema, Granddaughter of Sarah Nyendwoha Ntiro.
