KAMPALA – Businessman, Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi, has been elected the President of the National Federation of Entertainment Promoters Limited (NAFEP).
Balaam was overwhelmingly voted on Wednesday in the elections, which took place at Allure Suites, presided over by Uganda Cultural Centre, Executive Director, Ojede Francis.
Other commissioners included, among others, Ragga Dee, the Chairman of Cultural Forum, and Mr David Egesa, Director of Investigations at Operation Wealth Creation (OWC).
Barugahara, an accomplished businessman, is the property of Balaam Marketing and Promotion Agency. He is also the Vice Chairperson, MK Movement.
During the elections, three people, including David Mpora, Lubuulwa Moses, and Mariam Mutakubwa, were voted vice presidents.
Kavuma Musa has been elected Chairman Finance Committee, Balunywa Juma will chair the Public Relations (PR) Committee, and Halima Namakula is the new head of Special Interest Groups.
Other elected people include Ronald Muyomba who is now the Chairman of Research and Innovation, Sserugo Emma Chairperson Operations Committee, Nobert Tuzire in charge of Compliance and Kisuza Richard who is the new Regulations Committee and Disciplinary Committee Chairperson.
